Monday 9th August 2004 - Heathrow, London

Tuesday 10th August 2004 - Singapore

Left at 12.45pm yesterday & arrived 13 hours later. Take off was god damn awful & we hit bad weather but nothing too bad. Longest flight I have ever been on, bearing in mind only ever flown to Lanzarote & Edinburgh before/ It didn't go too slow though. The whole family came to the train station to see me off yesterday.

Flight hit 561 mph & 37,000ft. I had quite a revelation at the airport, that you can get anywhere in the world!!

Singapore is different to waht I expected. It looks so new, things are so modern & new. The motorways are lined with palm trees & alomost every other tree is like a large bonsai tree.
